goon that was at a different point in liverpools and citys cycle though. city hadn't yet established their penchant for consistent 90+ points tallys, and liverpool were nowhere near title challengers when those two joined. it's not really a like for like comparison. knowing what we now know about city and what it takes to beat them, I think we need something more than the 2 project players to give us the attacking boost we need
flobaba well he's 20 and is already scoring well. You'd hope he can do a lot of what Havertz is doing but he has a bit more variety as a forward too. He takes people on more than Kai, has more variating in the kind of shots he attempts, is a bit silkier, etc I expect if he came in he had to win his spot from Havertz a bit and it might take a little while because of his age but he's talented and very young. Could explode in the next 2 years.
Edu better get cooking soon. Get rid of the dead wood and bring in some new blood. We can't rely on Eddie to come on in dead rubber games so get rid of him. Do the same with the others

Need a top winger imo. Much as I love Trossard, and he's scored some vital goals in the fun in, it's masked over the fact that he's often really struggled to make an impact on that left side.

goon agree with this. I think trossard has already more than fulfilled his transfer fee anyway, and I think we've used him excellently just as he's cresting his peak years. need someone more powerful, direct and dangerous to take his squad position

lorddulaarsenal Im not sure i agree with this. We have much better backup than Holding now. Kiwior or Tomi or even Benny could do a better job there than Holding did. But having another option is always a good idea.
I wonder whether White plays more CB as Timber plays more RB. That would let us move for a starting left back instead of a CB.
But if Arteta really likes the idea of Timber at LB, then it makes a bit more sense to go for a 3rd center back.
After how Benny has played this season at RB, i dont see Timber displacing him. I see JT playing more on the left. But do we think Tomi is more of a CB backup?
USArsenal feel like Arteta really trust Tomi. Every time he is fit without risk he always plays, wherever it is. Like today at CB once Gabriel is injured.

Sicario2 - Tier 1 that’s a lot of work. There’s also the guys outside the team - Patino, Tavares, Tierney, Lokonga - whose time is up.
Sicario2 - Tier 1 I'd keep most of them. Eddie and Reiss are the ones to move on, for bookkeeping reasons as much as anything.

I think it’s as important for the players I mentioned (esp Nelson, ESR and Eddie) to leave as it is vice versa.
No way should a 25 year old Nelson waste another year of his career on our bench.

Arteta needs a serious talk with ESR in the summer. Tell him shape up or get out. ESR’s had many chances this season and apart from Luton at home didn’t impress.
We got to be honest with these players and their careers which is short. I feel bad for players like Eddie wasting their careers doing nothing with us - sell him to Ipswich town and let him play his game ffs
