Starting to feel like our window will look like this
Out. Ramsdale, Tierney, Cedric, Zinchenko, Partey, Elneny, Nelson, Nketiah
In. GK, Diomande, Zubimendi, Sesko, Simons and Neto
No way we’re getting 3 forwards.
Wouldn’t class Simons as a forward
I don’t care where he plays for Liepzig, he’d 100% be a winger here.
Genuinely find it insane he gets played anywhere else with his skill set.
Don’t think he’d be a winger here. He’d play next to Odegaard
I believe the Sesko rumors, he very much fits the Arteta/Edu mold with his physicality. I like the idea of getting a more classic #9 in the door, but having him be a bit of a prospect who won’t break the bank or expect to start next year.
I also want a winger, but if we’re buying both a LW and a #9, would that mean the end for Martinelli? Our forward depth chart would be new LW/Trossard, Havertz/Sesko, Saka/Jesus.
CPM but having him be a bit of a prospect who won’t break the bank or expect to start next year.
I'd be happy with that, the only player available now who imo would be an improvement on Havertz is Osimhen. I don't think we will be in for him as there are rumours his agent wants a massive commission and the player wants massive wages.
With us having options up top even if the player needs a couple years to really hit top form we can ease him in.
20 year old, 17 goals for Leipzig in his first season. Plenty to work on there.
Already 11 goals for Slovenia, pretty impressive
I like Dules list, but I don't think we will get so many players. Feels like is a 3 good players window. PSG doesnt want to sell Simons but I wonder if we can get him ala the Odegaard route. He can cover both as an 8 and a winger. Otherwise Olise or Nico Williams is fine.
IN: Sesko 70m, Simons (loan with high option to buy), Bruno 80m, Hato 40m
Sounds crazy to say because of how much he'll cost but we can afford to take a chance on a 9 who'll need time to settle in because we've got Havertz in place.
But then it boils down whether Sesko would prevent us from going big in LW and CM? If he does, we're better starting the season with Havertz and Jesus as our 9's.
We are also likely to need a Rambo replacement and additional body in both defence and midfield.
This will be a testing summer because we need to get the balance between starters and depth absolutely right.

Agree with this. I think if we can't get Sesko at the right price though instead of sticking with Jesus we should take another cheap risk up top, you can even keep Jesus as Saka back up then you are well covered. I think there is definitely space there to try and bring through a striker. Then again would Arteta actually sub Havertz out and give the new striker minutes? Hard to know.
time for a Surgical Summer
minimum of 2 ready-to-deliver, needle-moving signings needed.
Midfielder + Forward
I'm sure arteta will scoop another defender as well. this time we should have the budget to fulfil his defender fetish and get the key signings done as well
I really like the look of Matt O'riley. I think there's a huge bargain to get at there. Complete midfielder, superb box 2 box and his left foot is something else.
Another 2 goals and an assist yesterday
goon How much is he likely to cost?
I've seen a lot of articles claiming he has a €50m release clause. Others say it is increasing, to 65 now and maybe more later. Weird, maybe it is indexed to performance somehow. Or maybe it's just BS.
Would strike me as more of an option type signing than a needle mover but given Kai's form I don't necessarily think that'd be a bad thing, it'd give him time to bed into the team, learn Arteta's demands and develop as a player.

£40m-£50m is ok to pay for someone talented, I think we should be able to move Eddie on for around £40m so would be a near enough straight swap. Now is the time to try bag talent like that because in a couple years time these players could go for £100m.
I just hope this signing is in addition to where we are really short, like CB. CM and wide player.
What are our weak points in the starting lineup and our points of failure should injury occur?
Weak point is that entire left side. Critical failure point is probably still Saliba, and possibly Odegaard and/or Saka.
Our team build should address question 1 and then 2. Hopefully solving Q1 alleviates some of Q2
Claudius weak points in order LB, DM, ST/LW. Points of failure CM, CB, RW. You can solve all the points of failure by strengthening our weak points well. If you get a truly brilliant ST or LW it makes missing Saka less of an issue. If you get another top CM, say Bruno G/FDJ/Zubi then you can manage a Rice or even Ode injury better. With LB if you get someone in then you have the option of sliding things around where you can use White, Tomi, etc at CB.

Don't let G89 hear you say this man. You'll never live it down.
Could see Eddie moving for £20m.

Could see 15m
Would be typical of us but someone like Eddie should not be going for less than £30m but ideally between £35m-£40m. Homegrown player and not good enough for the elite clubs but defo a PL striker.
JazzG
25yr old with 19 goals in 100 PL games, on 100k a week, is never going to go for £40m.
Our chance of getting a great fee evaporated after he stopped scoring since his hattrick.
