for the forward spots
LW: trossard/martinelli - ive been the low man on martinelli the last few years, i just dont see it, hes way too inconsistent and his final ball/scoring touch just isnt up to par. trossard is the opposite, his final ball/shot is great, but he lacks the pace and explosiveness. id rather sell martinelli and add nico williams, for instance. is that plausible? probably not.
RW: saka/jesus?? - jesus probably doesnt have the legs anymore to play a consistent right wing, but its probably where he belongs, when hes actually fit enough to play. saka is obviously the first name on the team sheet at this point.
ST: havertz/?? - eddie is not good enough for this level. jesus as a focal point striker isnt good enough.
nelson really is only a sub, if we can get a decent fee for him, obviously he should be sold.
looking at it like that, i think we need two forwards. a legit number 9 who can lead the line is preferable, havertz would be a change of pace, and he can play wider too, then id like to have an exciting, pacey winger who can stretch defenses and has a better end product than martinelli.
thats really just too many words to say we need a legit 9. haaland was the difference in the title race last season. we have no one who can do what he does (most teams dont, obviously), but we need a focal point striker who is clinical in front of goal
