I hope the mods are ok with me posting this but we must try something different to help our title hopes. This is unprecedented on here but so is going for your first title in 20 years.

Fulham have looked solid recently and have a decentish home record. From the games I’ve seen them play at home this season they beat us and Spurs but did look ordinary v Chelsea and Liverpool respectively. Bit hit and miss but they do have some players that could do damage - namely Traore and their new Brazilian striker Muniz.

They have two ex Arsenal players that could write their names in Arsenal history forever.

I honestly see this as our last hope as can’t see Spurs/West Ham doing us any favours.

Come on Fulham! You will be my second team forever if you get something from this game resulting in us winning the title.

Marco Silva is the right guy for this sort of game. Tactically astute, maintains an attacking threat and enough of an ego that he’ll want to have an impact on the title race.

I have been betting on City and Liverpool for a few months now, stopped with Liverpool, but will continue to put 100$ on City each game. Easy money, and it makes it easier when they win. They will not drop points, they will score 3-5 per game until the end. They are a machine that never fucks up. Only Real can dick them around

I’ve seen City 5 times in my life and they have only won once.

Arsenal 1- 0 City (April 2012 when Arteta scored)
Arsenal 2-1 City (April 2017 FA Cup Semi Final)
Tottenham 1-0 City (August 2021 - yes I know, friend had a spare ticket)
Arsenal 0-2 City (March 2023)
Chelsea 4-4 City (October 2023)

The period since the villa game has allowed the cold hard reality to dawn on me that it's not going to be us again this year. A good season but still a few too many points dropped in the end. I've made my peace with that for now so if events conspire to put us back in it then great. But the calibre of opposition there is no one left who I would anticipate giving City a tough game at this time of year.

I don't think City will drop points either, but I also think people need to move away from looking for a specific game City will be expected to drop points. Games away to us and Liverpool are probably the only games where a City win isn't the most likely outcome. This doesn't mean they finish with 108+ points though, because that's not how probability works. If a team plays three games where the chance of them winning is 85 % in each, the chance of them winning all of them is about 60 %.

QuincyAbeyie no that's fair, but we will have a similar factor although with less games. I also think this part of the season makes surprise results slightly less likely just because when the opposition have nothing to particularly play for it often undermines their competitiveness.

The reason why the models built on historical data favoured them was their ability to get through these fixtures and people felt it was unfair to us because it didn't shine m account for improvements we've seen but it was based on us just not being able to close out these positions and that looks like it will remain the case at least for another season.
