Man city is such a cheat code. It's absolutely bonkers that we could end at 89 points and still get nothing out of this season. If we're going to lose it all, don't lose it to United. I'd be livid if we lost and city end up losing points in the last two games.

The exact same thing is happening at my workplace and in my friend groups. All these United fans saying that they'd rather have City win the league over us, and Liverpool to win it over both us and City. Fucking madness. All that hatred for us during the late 90s/early 2000s has made us somehow their biggest rival over their traditional rivals in Liverpool and their local rivals in City. Meanwhile we have Spurs fans who are pretty much praying they lose to City just so we don't win the league, even if it means them dropping out of Europe altogether.

It's quite funny how I went from being convinced we're going to beat them convincingly to being worried about the game, all because City won a game they were widely expected to win. They need to do a study into the psychology of a football fan.

To be fair, our recent decade and a half in the wilderness made me loathe United at least as much, or more than Spurs. The latter are a perpetual joke that hasn't won a title since the Beatles were the Quarrymen.

United's predicament up and down the club since Ferguson left in 2013 has delighted me and never more than now. If we humiliated them 0–5 or better today, then given their current straits it would be as joyful as winning the FA Cup for me. I hope the world's richest club stays a laughing stock for the rest of my days.

Putting our title challenge aside today, just want to beat these lot and beat them good, this will be their game of the season so far so will be well up for it but if we play to our usual recent standard we should batter them. No need for nerves now, we're not favourites for the title.

Tactics

I'm bricking it...

Yes lesser sides have schooled them at the Old Toilet this season but they are more attacking against those sides which leaves them open in midfield and makes it very easy to get at their dodgy defence. However I expect them to set up differently against us: low block, compact and counter! This is one of the easiest ways to play football. They led 1-0 at the Etihad playing that way, how often do you see City trailing at half time in their own backyard?

We have the quality to annihilate them but we could easily drop points here. I am actually expecting us to draw/lose which will be like a dagger to my heart as there's no other club I despise as much as them.

Agree that pressure is off us. Nowhere near as nervous for this 1 as I was for Tottenham.

Obviously I want us to win and take it to the final day but that won't make a difference to the final outcome of the season.

I think we will win and Saka will score.
