Ugh, Gerrard had half the brain that Rice has. Gerrard was all action and less smarts. Rice adds smarts to his action. He scored today, and if he can do that with more regularity (and he should, especially if he has someone like Partey playing with him), he could really be even higher regarded as Gerrard by the end of his career. I know its a bit of a long shot, but Rice really has all the tools.

Went to the match. My first time ever at The Emirates. Was absolutely brilliant. Had a great seat. These players are so impressive in person - especially Saliba, Harvetz, Partey, and Odegaard. The first three so big and powerful, the last two so silky on the ball, and Odegaard relentless. Bumped into the AFTV clan, and had a few pints in the Tolly afterwards.

Finishing aside, which wasn’t bad just lacked a little composure and luck to dodge the bodies, the first half performance was so good.

What’s pleasing is we are starting to develop a good transition game when the pressing intensity drops off. This midfield three is very good at keeping the ball long enough to launch, and Kai is a much better target in these situations because he looks for the ball in behind rather than joining in with the combo play.

Bit shook. Just bumped into Alex Iwobi at a restaurant. And then he pointed us to where Declan was sitting with his crew of 6 lads, so we went over to say hi. And Iwobi was really nice and chatty too.

Rice is just so good. How he made that run in the 97th minute is just incredible.

Big result and at least we're not folding like last season. All we can do is win our games and keep pressure on their's.

Can't shake the sinking feeling that all that's happening now is prolonging the inevitable but at least we're making them have to win it. Seems a little surreal to be top with 2 games to go yet winning it feels impossible from here.

Asterix yeah. Funny thing is when I walked into Iwobi, I thlugh “he looks familiar”. It only clicked when my mate shouted his name. Soon I was telling Iwobi how great he was. His parting line was “your god is over there”, as he pointed to the corner of the restaurant. Rice was parked at the far side of a circular table with his whole crew, like Eminem and D12.

Burnwinter thats a crazy amount of xG and it doesn't surprise me, we were absolutely dominant. People need to calm down in the first half of games when we are playing that well.

Qwiss I was amazed we had not scored after 30. We were quite profligate. But I was happy that we were making chances quite easily and Bournemouth didn’t have any significant chance I could recall in that first half. Saka is a super weapon. This poor guy Outtara had no clue because Saka can abuse you in so many ways. This is the most complete winger in the league

Qwiss I agree in so much as we were obviously in control and looked like we would continue to create chances but we've all seen matches where we've lost points because of our profligacy in front of goal.

goon that volley he hit early on, lovely technique and there is no way he tried that early on in the season. I hope he can keep this level of belief because he's a player when he's like this, when he still had that Chelsea stink on him he was rotten.

Hahah no we need Iwobi to be on tip top form for Sat. He never managed to fulfil his dream of being an Arsenal legend but that can change on Sat.
