cuesta was always going to move on, I just didn't expect it so soon
I'm all for bringing santi back. he's someone artet and the players would trust, and is a generator of positive vibes
Seems like a good swap if we can make it happen. Cazorla is a football genius, whereas Cuesta's great gift has always been sold to us as his exceptional knack for interpersonal work and sustaining player morale—almost operating as a floating in-house "life coach"—but perhaps Cazorla could create a similar effect just by the sterling example he sets.
Rumours it could be Gabriel Heinze (to replace the departing young coach who is off to Parma)
Sicario2 why not just say Cuesta? 😆
Sicario2 tier 1 FC
Bring Back Kerrea Gilbert forgot his name hahaha
For those suggesting Cazorla, is this based on good vibes or him actually being a good coach? I've seen anything to suggest he has a knack for coaching.
JazzG
Maybe not as a head coach yet.. But he has an intelligent football brain and his positivity is infectious and he would certainly have the respect of everyone at the club, including all the players.
Maybe but I'd rather have someone who is actually going to bring something technically and tactically to work under Arteta. Someone to challenge him. I have mentioned before that a lot of Fergie's success was he had different assistants under him and they all bought something different, all of them enjoyed great success with him as well
Good that we lost that Nepo baby Cuesta. No idea if he's any good but the way he got his job and those cheap pieces of bullshit PR afterwards always left a bad taste
jones he was supposed to be very good. There is a reason he is managing a serie a club at 29 years old.

So you're glad he's gone but have no idea if he's any good?!
Sicario2 could be, or could be the same reason he got the Arsenal job - combination of daddy's money and strong self promotion. Bit hamfisted at PR tbh
He studied handball and rugby, and wrote six articles for the Spanish magazine, The Tactical Room, in which he admired Diego Simeone’s leadership skills, marvelled at Guardiola’s attention to detail and quoted Charles Darwin and Groucho Marx. “In football and in life there are two large groups of people,” he wrote. “Those who are closed, who believe that only one idea is valid and who criticise everything that is not what they believe, and then more open people, who believe that any idea is valid if it is well argued, a group in which I include myself.” Juventus came first, offering Cuesta a role with the under-17s and under-23s after a memorable meeting between the young coach and the club’s directors. “They were about 40 or older and Carlos, who was 22, just sat with them talking about football,” says a source who was at the meeting. “As he was explaining things, more and more people just kept coming into the room to listen. As soon as he started talking, I knew they were going to offer him a job.”

jones daddy's money
What's the deal here? Reports on him rarely mention anything much about his family. I just did a fairly intent scan of the net and didn't turn up anything much either.
Burnwinter read something shortly after he joined but can't find it anymore. Pretty self explanatory anyway he's worked in Spain Italy France Portugal and England as an unpaid intern in his early 20s
jones this is pure speculation. Even if he did get an upper hand, his appointment at Parma is based on pure merit.
Sicario2 how would you know when he has zero coaching experience.
In the Amazon documentary he was one of the most cringe people in a sea of cringe.
Gurgen and Artera wasn’t?
This guy was a 25/26 year old in his first coaching role. The players clearly bought into him otherwise he wouldn’t have been with us for the best part of 5 years

Whatever your own personal proclivities are, when it comes to understanding and stimulating the mind of a professional athlete, this seems more like an endorsement than an indictment.
He was. That's why I said sea of cringe.
JazzG the only thing to go on are the ridiculous articles written about him so yes I'm happy he's gone and I suspect he's no good anyway.
Even if he was talented he was never the right man for the job. Arteta needed someone to challenge him not a teenage life coach
jones Maybe he was challenging Arteta? We don't really know what he was or wasn't doing. The players all seemed to like him and that is important. The cringe stuff I get but sometimes you need to do shit like that to get through to players. These players aren't the sharpest knifes in the drawer, it is important to get your message through.
jones he’s had 5 years coaching experience. If you mean managerial, Arteta didn’t have any either and he hasn’t done too bad
