Qwiss Not a headline grabber or game changer but I thought Vieira looked sharp in his few minutes last night.
Before that diabolical red card and injury he had looked ok earlier in the season. Was making great cameo appearances for us. One thing I like about him he is quite comfortable and able to take risks that other players don't with his passing. I think he could still be very valuable off the bench.
He's got great ball striking technique. Tends to look great as a sub and then goes completely missing when he starts. He seems to be mainly Odegaard's understudy so him getting minutes is largely dependent on us going far in the domestic cups, which we've been terrible at in recent years. I think he's worth persisting with for another season but it's risky.

Feels a very similar story to Trossard until recently. And he's playing in a league he's already familiar with.

True but I think Arteta needs to show more faith and rotate as well, I think this season against Bayern and Villa you could see physically we looked dead on our feet. He needs to use his squad better

I actually think signing Bruno could help unlock playing time for him actually. I think a Rice-Bruno-Vieira midfield makes sense in a way that no other midfield featuring Vieira has made a lot of sense in his time here. I think the big thing with Vieira is that he's an otherwise talented player that just turns the ball over too much. He can win you the game but you need to have two really good defensive partners for him to make sure he doesn't lose you the game. We've never really had that in any serious way which I think has been a contributor to his lack of game time.

Don Pacifico we were a lot poorer early in the season, not sure we'd have managed to give Vieira games without a serious drop off. Plus we were already missing Partey and trying to bed in Kai. Probably would have cost us points.

Still watching highlights from last night. Maybe it’s relative to our own game, but one thing that stands out is Chelsea didn’t put any pressure on us when we attacked. Our could pass or drive the ball completely unhindered. Like playing against 10 Rashfords.
