I’m feeling a bit optimistic about this game. Yes Bayern are at home, have the experience, the know how, but I think the players will be on it. Maybe it explained yesterday’s defeat, mentally we still had Bayern in our heads.

In terms of season defining, this is it. Come on boys. The whole world are calling us bottlers, the whole world are expecting us to bottle it on Wed and have our season over - let’s prove them wrong. Let’s prove we can do it in adversity.

Whatever happens for the rest of the season, even if we get to the semi finals by beating Bayern in Bayern I think it’s something to be proud of given yesterday especially and our European record.

If we get past this lot, the whole season will have exceeded my original expectations. That'd mean CL semifinal or better, and 3rd or better in a tough league race, and still in both.

We've got some kind of chance for sure. More if we find a bit of Zen and settle calmly into the match without any headless chicken defending. There's pressure on them, their season is on the line even more than ours.

Sicario2 - Tier 1 watch one of Coman or Sane be fit on Wednesday.

My worry now is not our desire or effort but rather accumulated fatigue. We've been giving so much every game and our press can be so intense that it's hard for us to maintain that same level with so little rest in between. Asking our best creative player Ode to constantly press like mad and expect him to to last all game every game will take its toll.

It's a shame some of our squad players can't be trusted to fill in more often.

Pepe LeFrits both for me. Jesus suits the CL more than the PL. Havertz and Trossard on for them with half an hour to go could really hurt a tired Bayern defence too.

You want Martinelli on from the start because if Bayern score and we bring him on there wont be the space behind them to exploit with his pace. We need that threat from the start.

Yeah there's a fair bit on it. Win and we look like a young team progressing to the very top. Fall apart and we look like we're going backwards. Then there's a middle ground where we rarely seem to dwell.

Arteta's track record with us includes many of both these kinds of moment, but after the first leg, this looks like an acid test of his man management. It'll be a big basic ❓ about that if we crumble again.

I don't think it's embarrassing to go out against Bayern, nor is it impressive of us to have reached the QFs if that's where it ends. We'll have beaten Porto and the group stage teams.

QuincyAbeyie yeah I think that's how I feel. You can lose to Bayern but based on the opposition we've faced (the group we got was very generous with almost not champions League level teams) it won't have taught us much about is this team ready to win the big prizes and defeat these kinds of bigger teams.
