Yeah my comparison to Martinelli was just to acknowledge how impressive both of their debut seasons were, and the challenging path ahead for Nwaneri. Saka had a great break through season too, but he was more involved via assists.

Totally understand why others see more of "Saka" - or Odegaard - in Nwaneri. Wasn't trying to compare them stylistically.

Coombs Great point about Zubimendi or a player like him making it a more conducive environment for Nwaneri in the Odegaard role. I hadn't really thought of that and that certainly will open up some opportunities for rotation that we don't really have today, aside from the few games where Jorginho can do it.

Saka is like C.Ronaldo in that he has worked hard to develop and grow into the RW role. Nwaneri is like Messi in that he's born for the position.

Yeah Yamal is extraterrestrial. I'm actually in awe of Cubarsi. We have seen players his age start for elite clubs in forward positions before but I can't think of a single defender other than him. He's probably the best defender on the ball in Europe at the moment. He's also good defensively, remember him pocketting Mbappe in Paris last season. Another freak!
