samthegooner I don't really see any comparison of Nwaneri to Martinelli personally.
I think the comparison is just that they both emerged early on the scene with a burst of goals. Remember when Martinelli was scoring headers? Where has that gone? I still think he's the best candidate to move into a Kai-like role of dogged center forward play based on high workrate. Martinelli is a menace in that regard. With Saka and Ethan on either side it could be brilliant if Arteta gave them some license to interchange a bit.
I also find it hard to imagine that Ethan won't play the Odegaard role next to Saka every now and then as well. He's got that foot which allows him to swing in crosses from just outside the corner of the 18 (zone 15) that can be such a weapon with a box-crashing left 8 or a back post run by the CF or winger. He'll obviously be more direct, but that could help as well, with Saka cutting inside behind him as he drives to the byline, or for playing that little one-two through the channel.
If we had a Zubimendi type behind him providing the rhythm, we'd have a legit alternative to Odegaard and limit our points of failure.
