Chalk it up to experience. I can recall this fella B. A. T. M. Saka who played for us once or twice missing a pressure penalty around that age and the fans and press not being too generous about it.

Relatedly I just realised Nwaneri will be 19 years old in a couple of weeks. I have a lot of faith in his ability but he's not made the breakthroughs that Saka had by this stage (nor had the chance). Saka played about 40 matches for us that season.

Don Pacifico he's not going to make it here. Young players trying to break through into our first team at this phase of the project will have to be inevitable : Dowman-esque level of talent. Nwaneri is good for his age, but not outstanding. We can't give him the play time he's going to need to develop properly. Let him go work it out at Crystal Palace or wherever like Eze, before he returns, if he's deemed good enough when the time comes.

Sicario2 like Saka with England. He'll be fine. Probably should go on loan again next year but somewhere in England.

He's absolutely one of the worlds most outstanding 18 year old footballers. If we don't turn him into a serious Arsenal player then the clubs failed miserably.

I think the truth is somewhere in between. He's probably a bit overhyped by our fanbase but he also has great potential.

Players' development curves also aren't uniform so I fundamentally don't think we can draw any conclusions from the data currently at our disposal.
