QuincyAbeyie Yep, as long as he's registered, but I'm certain that he is. We don't have to formally allocate a first team space for him since he's under 21. I think we submit a full list of all U21 and scholarship players every season, and those guys are all eligible if they're back at the club.

I don't think he's eligible for the CL final though since Marseille played in Champions League this season.

A bad loan will hopefully end up being good for him. There's a good chance that the experience will toughen him up mentally.

There's a real risk with academy kids these days that they get coddled too much just because they're talented. The ones who turn elite are sometimes the ones who get challenged along the way and have to find out what they're really made of.

Klaus Even for experienced player having a rough experience can change you. Messi went to PSG and I think came out of it with much more of an edge and aggression, his performances for Argentina imo got better as a result. Who knows maybe that World cup win doesn't happen if he doesn't leave his comfort zone at Barca?

Maybe a loan spell in the championship will do him good. I’m sure the likes of Southampton, Charlton and Spurs would be keen on him

I'd keep him. He has bags of talent and will get a decent amount of minutes with the amount of games we play and injuries... Doesn't need to be a crazy amount, look at psg, a lot of their stars are getting around 1k minutes this season.

Hoping the Eze/Odegaard experiment isn't just a one off and we will continue to use that setup when the game suits.. he would be a serious option for either if that was the case..

and id have him all day every day over Noni on the right if he is still going to play there.

I'd like him to be part of the squad next season too but I'd understand if they loan him out again. I couldn't accept selling him though, too much talent there.

The one ray of hope I have here is that Arteta has been outspoken about his thoughts on loans in the past, especially relating to ESR, and has said that he looks more at the experience of the loan rather than playing time/results on the loan. We clearly heard some of the feedback on Nwaneri fed by Marseille's manager through the French media but I would take that with a grain of salt since he was still bitter after Nwaneri's tackle against his team prior to coming to Marseille.

I really hope we give him a chance to get back in the team for next year and if not, set him up with a loan in the Premier League. I hope we don't sell him for profit but also would understand if we feel like he doesn't have a pathway and he wants a chance elsewhere.

Nwaneri's only been gone six months. Granted it was a messy business but he did a couple of good things. You've gotta remember he's 19 so these kinds of experiences aren't just about the football, they're forming an adult mentality. One of the best things for a kid his age to learn is that it won't come easy.

It's still on him now and it's never really been any other way. Either he's got it or he doesn't, and it could be decided by how his body develops as much as anything, that's what has shifted Skelly ahead of him a little bit.

Lad needs a PL loan in 26/27 if possible, if not maybe Bundesliga or maybe La Liga.

Im not so sure that he needs a loan next season. Im sure Arteta will be the judge of that, but I have a sneaky feeling he's matured a little after the shit show that was Marseille for the past 6 months. Thinking he will be working hard this summer to get ready and be a regular part of the squad. He's certainly got the talent.
