lorddulaarsenal He has that special player aura about him, no doubt.

At one point he chested a quite difficult bouncing ball, quickly managed to kill it dead and manipulate it, turn out of some traffic in midfield and played the ball to the opposite flank fullback in acres of space. I was thinking to myself that I can probably just count on one hand the players in our squad capable of pulling this off.

is there a chance he can play LW? lol

Props to the club and the leadership for pulling out a few stops to persuade Nwaneri to stay here over the past couple of seasons since he was 15.

Remember we were a bit quizzical about it, especially when taking into account other highly gifted youngsters who were allowed to depart. But this kid's on a different level.

Kid is a gem. Was excited to see that goal because we don’t hit enough long range shots and the youth players, especially Nwaneri have more of this ability in general. Something we need to integrate to help us disrupt packed defenses. Another reason to be excited.
Biggest young talent since Nelson and definitely showing much more personality than him amongst the adults

Young players always want to impress but it's how he wants it that stands out: there's a lot of maturity and good thinking on display, at a level Nelson probably still doesn't have.

He kinda reminds me of Foden with his shooting prowess also. Kid is legit world class talent.
What a joy to watch him play

Yes similarities to Foden. Nwaneri is unreal though. Amazing passes, he weights them perfectly applying appropriate spin with his smothering brush technique. He’s also got that mad Carlos Blanka physical agile power traits.

Imagine what he’s going to be like when he’s fully matured. He’ll eclipse anything we’ve seen from an attacking midfielder at this club and for England.

Burnwinter This. I have been highly critical of our management and retention of our youth, but this has clearly been a big win. If only we had been able to do the same with Obi-Martin, that would have been great.

Bernard Woolley I was thinking of Obi-Martin with this post, but let's see how Chido actually does before we start to complain—seems like we knew we were onto an outrageous talent with Nwaneri.

To think it was actually touch and go for a little while whether we'd hang onto him. Thank goodness we did.

Bernard Woolley i actually googled Chido after watching Nwaneri yesterday. He scored a hattrick in 15mins or something for United u18s.

Most youth observers consider Nwaneri and Mikey Moore at spurs the two best youth prospects in the land. Some rare Moore higher. Nobody mentions Chido. We are fine

Moore does look good but he’s not on Nwaneri’s level. Jacob Wright is another top talent

max dowman is Nwaneri level too 🙂

Chido is younger to be fair, but I reckon no one who’s impressed by him has based their opinion on anything they’ve actually seen.

lorddulaarsenal Can you imagine Nwaneri he was tearing it up on loan at Burnley right now after the insider blogs declared he'd had a preseason training ground row with Stuivenberg … the gnashing and wailing there'd be, my boy …

Burnwinter there was never a chance that Arteta would let Nwaneri out of his sight. You don’t take an attacking midfielder like that and let another manager fuck around with his instructs.
Soooo smooth. He looks like a Barca player (I mean that in a good way - not the sneaky, roll around peaking through your fingers at a foul like Busquets or tapping up Fabregas like bobblehead Xavi way).
