Bayern are a formidable opponent. That said, I don't expect them to sit and play the way Porto did.
It's simply not their style.
I'd favour us over them for sure basis what I've seen this season.
Mirth I'll never forget it. our striker and centre-mid debacle in the latter Wenger years gave me endless nightmares
I actually remember Sanogo being half-decent in that game!
Flamini was so awful, not even a Premier League standard player at that point.
The 4th picture game really annoyed me. We had such a good team and that whole night we dominated but just can't seem to find the 2nd goal. First leg had a Toure disaster class
Henry in a yellow Sega beautiful. Probably his best kit along with the O2 redcurrant, and the home Dreamcast. Yummy
I can't believe Jenkinson played in such glamorous CL ties before descending into the joke leagues Bizarre player, bizarre career.
I suppose it was always going to be Bayern with the Kane angle and our history of playing them every season in the CL even if it has been a long time. Would be lovely to consign Kane to another trophyless season and overcome a lot of trauma against them but it feels unrealistic.
RocktheCasbah Win-win solution: your partner stops aging.
Sicario2 - Tier 1 fuckin worthless wolves.
Wolves took the lead in the 88th minute, were still in the lead in the 96th minute and still lost. 😂
Qwiss They’ve won 3 in a row in all comps and by all accounts look much better than pre-Tuchel leaving in the summer announcement
Sicario2 - Tier 1 I was looking at their league form. Still beating mid-table Lazio and 2 sides in the relegation zone isn't all that impressive.
It will be a tough game, they are a very good team but being made to look ordinary in their league by an extraordinary Leverkusen side. Last season Bayern won the league with 71 points and this season Leverkusen already have 70 points with 8 games to go!

Agreed, people's judgement is being clouded by Leverkusen's incredible achievement.
23/24 - 26 games played - Bayern has 60 points 22/23 - 26 games played - Bayern had 55 points 21/22 - 26 games played - Bayern had 60 points 20/21 - 26 games played - Bayern had 61 points 19/20 - 26 games played - Bayern had 58 points
I don’t think anyone was too impressed with them last year either.
They’ve got some good players and won’t fear us, that alone makes them dangerous. But they’re a world away from the side that beat us 10-2.
goon But they’re a world away from the side that beat us 10-2.
And we are a world away from the side that lost to them 10-2. 😊
The best version of them we played imo we went out 3-3 on away goals. Think it was 12-13, our team wasn't even that bad but fuck me Bayern were unbelievable.
If we are as good as everyone claimed, we will beat them. Simple as

What are people claiming?
daredevil A lot of things, but in this case generally that Arsenal has one of the best football teams in the world, because this season to date it's got the most points by scoring the most goals and conceding the fewest in what's taken to be the world's strongest domestic football league.
daredevil What are people claiming?
Bayern can be brilliant but are completely unreliable. Arsenal aren't quite there but consistent and relentless.
That's generally the gist I get anyway.
Fair enough, but personally I wouldn't put us as favourites against any of Real, Barca, Atleti, City or Bayern in a two legged CL tie, regardless of domestic form.
