Conceding that goal late in the 1st half played right into Brentford's game plan. Once we got the early goal their time wasting and shithousery tactics weren't going to achieve much but conceding right before half time clearly took it out of us and gave them a massive boost, they couldn't get near us in the first half and spent most of the half camped in their own half. I think we probably needed a second in the first half but Brentford even when 1-0 down were quite happy to sit deep so that made it tough.
2nd half probably a bit chaotic for my liking, Brentford were using every dirty trick in the game and clearly frustrating us. I think Kiwor's game in attack really got a bit shown up as unlike White a lot of his crosses just felt a bit pointless. I'm surprised that Arteta took Jorginho off, I think Trossard should have come off. When we took Jorginho off it clearly disrupted our flow and the game seemed to become more scrapy.
Massive cock up by Ramsdale, didn't look all that comfortable with his feet but he made two crucial saves in the 2nd half, if one of those go in I think we'd struggle to win the game.
After some thumping wins good to grind out a win like this, we kept going until the end and after going 2-1 up wasn't the usual mass panic and we saw the game out.
