Have you guys seen the bench cam video of this game? I thought Arteta's reactions (body language) leading up to the 6th goal were quite weird. The ball went down the right forward channel to Saka, our main outlet for this game. Ben White makes the over lap run, Martinelli makes the forward run towards the wing as well and the ball was played in to Martinelli, who then turns around and feeds it back to Benny Blanco. White then plays that pass in between Odegaard and Trossard which ends up as an assist for Rice.
At the point where Saka passes to Martinelli Arteta is obviously disappointed - clearly disapproves of the choice, and loses enthusiasm for the move. When the goal goes in his celebrations were more reserved than even Rice's. He basically frowns and walks back to his seat.
Just thought it was super interesting. He wants things done a certain way in his mind, clearly, but man, chill the f out sometimes and just let the boys play (especially at that stage of the game), and who knows, Mr Controlball, you might just get a worldie out of the move.
