JazzG I don't get this point. Isn't it Sunak's job (Or Truss, or Johnson, or May, or...) to propose and implement solutions? Policy and solutions are largely for elections and manifestos. Not a bad thing to know where they're heading, but not sure exactly what Labour (or LibDems/SNP/Greens) are supposed to be doing here - they're not governing.

What specific issue are you talking about in any case?

My one hope for the US Elections is for Trump to be DQ'd and Haley to run for the GOP. At which point I'd even say - go Haley! Biden has constantly been a wuss.

This was surreal. I swear this has been around since before I was born.

Unreal how much influence this dimwit has over a sizeable section of the Republican vote.

His interview with Putin was jokes. I haven't watched all of it but seen some clips, I especially liked the part where he reminded Tucker that he wanted to join the CIA....

JazzG wasn't his dad a spook too? I really don't understand how the MAGAs trust Tucker.

republicans are addicted to people telling them what they want to hear. it's a matter of record that rich boy tucker hated trump and the hold he had over the party. it's also on record that he relentlessly pushed lies about the 2020 election which turned out demonstrably false. and now he's gone full blown Russian propagandist. but somehow he's still viewed as a man of the people telling truth to power.

Qwiss I really don't understand how the MAGAs trust Tucker.

Because he repeats a lot of what Trump says, even though privately he is on record as saying he doesn't like Trump 😆

JazzG yeah that was hilarious. And they still eat it up.

At what point can we call this cruelty? Clearly he is mentally and physically not up to it any more, I'm not even sure if he is running things. It feels like a lot of his team still insist on wheeling him out because they don't want to be out of a job.

My dream is to watch a presidential debate where Biden is off his meds and Trump has to video in from jail. Or even better hologram Trump.

How about Trump from jail and Biden from a care home?

For the love of god what the hell is wrong with these people.

JazzG He will be 82 this year...82 year old have problems like this, it's kinda normal. He should be at home with his family not the fucking president. Not that I like the orange idiot or anything, and he is too old as well, he is 78. Insane. Imagine if a 82 year old and a 78 year old would want a job in real life, where the fuck would they be hired? Greeters at Walmart, and even there probably 2h per day.

I'm a big believer in not being able to buy experience but this is taking it a bit too far! Like you say he is nearly 82 and these problems aren't uncommon at that age but it feels like thee are people around him clinging to power through him.

JazzG 100% he was the best suited in the pools and they went with him. I remember Obama saying something between the lines that Biden did not even really want to do it, and he was afraid he would ruin his legacy...but Biden felt "he had to". Or some shit, but ok, now it's 4 years later, do they really have nobody else? This is elderly abuse no joke

im only going to vote in november because i live in a state that will be decided by a razor thin margin. some of my normie friends cant figure out why i dont like biden, and its just really dismaying to me how clueless so many people are.

Biden's presidency is a real monkeys paw for him. Spent his whole life desperately trying to be president while he was sharp and a great public speaker and now he's finally got the job he's this.

The geriatric race for the Presidency is a worry, but it's a symptom not a cause, like the composition of SCOTUS.

It'd be nice if some of the embarrassing Washington pundits—who always end up writing as if the necrotic US political system is some reason to shed a single jewelled tear at the miracle of democracy—would mount a deeper critique, but my guess is the spectacle will just be the usual come November.
