Gazza M same guy linked us to SMS, Tielemans, Castagne and even Onana himself a couple years ago. he has gotten things right as well, but he is also a bullshit master. Don't think there is anything here

QuincyAbeyie Prefer him than Luiz

Plenty throwing their opinions in that its legit

Of all available top mids in europe currently wouldn't think we need a powerhouse in there, but rather a Zubimendi

I don't really see what he gives us that we are lacking. He hasn't got a particularly high technical level. He's not an out and out 6 or 8 but I bit of both like Rice. He doesn't score or create. I don't think he's a terrible player but I don't see why we want him either. Seems like another midfielder with the wrong profile to me.

Typical for Edu and Arteta to see how our front line is performing and go out to sign Onana. Is there really no good forward available in January

in the summer i would have given arteta the benefit of the doubt like i did with havertz and say he has a plan and arteta has earned the right blah blah. now fuck that, this man needs to be stopped. he should have a list of needs, not names and edu should be out there with his team finding players. and if a striker isn't at the top of his list of needs you buy one anyway because his blindspot, shouldn't be yours.

anyway how it should work and how it will work are two different things because right now arteta can do no wrong in the kroenke's eyes.

Would love it. Think he’s really good. Should allow us to play Rice more advanced

This guys not it from what I've seen, but only going off one match.

I'd rather we look for a quality no.8 if we're going to buy in midfield.

Arteta needs to recall what he learned under Pep and Wenger and forget what he learned under Moyes, even if set pieces are a good weapon to have.

It’s all about being able to win the ball back quickly an efficiently so we can dominate play - with high quantity chance creation we’ll eventually prosper. May be a case of waiting til the summer until our attacking targets become available and feasible.

Onana solves the defensive and midfield depth issue

Exciting stuff - moving with purpose according to him, whilst some other murmurs suggest its only exploratory talks. Associated with this potential transfer, some fan fiction about packaging Patino and Partey to Juventus with Vlahovic the other way. Nketiah to CP thereafter. Hope not.

thought about this one for a bit, and it still doesn't really add up. he's an above average player, but I don't see another gear with him. what we see is pretty much what we're going to get, and I'm not sure how it improves us other than adding more depth.

At the right price, I think depth is quite critical: To salvage this season and make sure some of our active midfielders don't break down (Partey could just well re-aggravate upon a return that doesn't sound close) and to proactively manage intentioned departures for Partey, Elneny, and Jorginho between this window and the next. He took us apart alongside an inspired Iwobi and Doucoure at the height of our form. The next eleven months were never really the same (not that thats down to him).He did that at 22 playing in one of the worst, drastically underperforming sides in top flight until recently. Some of his stats are not that impressive, and I think the dross he plays around factors into it. If the ingredients are there, we should see a player flourish in a better environment, and improve the side further for a multi-front campaign.

He can't be a high-risk punt like Havertz though. We take huge step back by making a mistake that costly again. Hopefully any formal bid will be backed by proper due diligence.
