Chelsea bought Jackson and United bought Hojlund. We're back in the Giroud era of there not being an abundance of quality CF's that we are missing out on. You can shout all you want about a CF, and we sure need one, but there aren't any obvious options around.

I'd sign Toney if only to freshen things up, but he is not a long term solution. Where is today's Eduardo?

We have become dangerously Wengery in our results recently. We dominate/ give an impression of dominating games but concede despite opposition doing very little. Xg wasn't much of a thing then but I wouldn't be surprised if most Wenger teams won the Xg title multiple times.

We were really good in every aspect save finishing in the 1st half. Our press, our tempo, the pace with which we moved the ball, movement, fluidity.

That was a great start to the new year. Watched that before first day back at work (5.30AM kick off here), then went to leave and fucking car wouldn't start so now waiting for roadside assistance. There might have been some swearing heard by neighbours.

Difficult to see where the next goal is coming from at this point let alone win. Unless we get lucky with a penalty or howler there doesn't look to be another one in the squad. Season on the brink of total collapse and we're a meme for everyone else again. Also didn't realise until I saw the lineup but is Cedric genuinely our only available cover across the whole defence now?

Thinking about it, I guess the rip-roaring first half we had to last season culminating in the meltdown after going 2nil up against Liverpool and everything that came afterward was the pinnacle of all banter ever, unparalleled in it's execution and pay-off. That's the main thing you can look like a good team all you want but if that means you don't win matches or deliver trophies it's totally meaningless and will be the butt of jokes. Spurs looked impressive for a little while but they couldn't deliver any real success in trophies.

For me this season we really need to win a trophy I think we are at that point now given 4 years into this manager. If we don't and things go as they are looking we should be considering what's next for the club that gets us to what we should be aiming for.
