Brentford should have been a draw (-2)

Newcastle should have been a draw (+1)

So, on net, we have one less point than I think we "should".

daredevil yeah this is the thing that is so bonkers with any conspiracy mindset. There is no team that is getting the benefit instead you have randomness iyf decisions against all but every team thinks it's purely against them. Like with every conspiracy theory the truth is often less shocking and more simple. For us crap decisions made by humans with no motive just incompetence.

Clrnc this is not a useful way to go about interpreting decisions by others.. They are subjective so your view doesn't really matter, in the moment he may have been sure he saw a hand and the way the arms were that wouldn't be unreasonable. You can say he couldn't be 100% but that's probably true for many decisions but he made the decision and that's what counts for the VAR analysis.

awooga83 You can try and be cool and objective about it, but if you see the shit that gets given/not given against us and you compare it to what other teams get then you need to be blind not to spot a clear bias against us. Sure there's incompetence at hand, but just pure incompetence doesn't cut it. It's too much in one direction.

Pretty haunting seeing the replays and seeing how close Eddie was to being the one who knocked it in (which almost certainly would have caused the goal to stand). Ridiculously fine margins.

est well I don't think there is a bias against Arsenal. There may be crap decisions but there are plenty of teams that have suffered this season. Look at wolves, even city with the blowing up the other day. It's just shit decision making which humans can do just fine without any targeting of one club.

The other fans also think the refs are disproportionately biased against them. I've read Bluemoon, Redcafe, Glory Glory, RAWK, Shed End, you name it and the story is the same. They all think the refs are against them and favour their rivals.

Refereeing standards need to improve but the human element makes it impossible for it to be 100% accurate. If a ref is making 20 decisions a game, he is bound to fuck up a few. Better technology and utilisation of it should improve outcomes. I would be spending more to improve technology that can lower mistakes.

However, referees need to be held accountable for their decisions. There needs be better tracking of refereeing outcomes and how it impacts all teams in the league. And then perhaps some form of compensation at the end of the season in the form of points for teams who were most affected. Some shit like that.
