Its December, that means we will play non stop. Tomorrow we face Luton. Luton are in bad form, lost 3, got 1 draw and 1 win in the last 5. The win was vs Palace but the draw was vs Liverpool. They are missing 3 players: Andersen, Burke & Potts. Another 3 are listed as doubts: Lokonga(can he play against us?), Nakamba and Woodrow.

I wonder what kind of away day our fans will have, as we all probably know by now, the Luton stadium is really old school. Anyways, lets get the win here as we have Villa away after, and that is a very hard place to get wins.
I would go with little to no rotation for this, play at full force here and at Villa and then let them stay at home against PSV in the CL, just send the kids.

HomeSteak I think thats the XI we'll see. Seems like Havertz and Trossard are being straight rotated now. With Tomi out the back 4 picks itself (though I wouldn't be shocked to see Kiwior in for Zinchenko). Front line will probably be as it is (though again Jesus being rested for Eddie wouldn't shock me either).

We've got the quality and the tactical discipline to face Luton down at minimum. Only a barely forgivable lapse of intensity would explain any result other than a win for us.

They're missing more than that. Starting CBs Lockyer and Mengi are out, and LWB Doughty.

I'm not concerned about Martinelli, I think he's playing well lately and has just been a bit unlucky. He always looks a threat now which wasn't the case as much at the start of the season. I think the goals will come

The different attributes of our fullbacks and the heavy demands Arteta places on them makes it feel like we're in a mini crisis even when we've got White and Kiwior standing by.

Maybe I'm reading too much into Arteta's words. Think I remember him saying Saka was in contention against City, then missed out completely. Might have done the same with Partey and ESR at one point as well from what I remember, after which they ended up missing big chunks.

But yeah, normally I'd say that means the player is there or thereabouts and we're just playing mind games regarding his availability to fool the opponents.

He's greedy. Always wants to keep hold of, encourage and motivate any player who might conceivably play a part, so he's got more on the shelf for a rainy day. Then he "Tierneys" the discards for an ultra-low valuation.

Burnwinter I highly doubt we will make a loss on Ramsdale. His reputation is superb in the league and Newcastle wants him in January. We should be able to rip them off.

Yeah we'll see. £10m might be low but I'll be very surprised if we get our money back on him. He is a good keeper though with room to grow, don't think the current situation has changed that.

I do think the way Arteta's handled it isn't great for his valuation, but no need to relitigate it.

Clrnc I think he's a good keeper so feel any buyer would stand to profit. I would want a minimum of 40 million for Arsenal. Just 5 months ago CIES valued Ramsdale at 79 million euros as the most valuable keeper in Europe. 40-60 million for me, but it would be silly to burn this bridge and let him go mid-season.
By the way, Newcastle probably made the right longer-term call by going for Livramento over Tierney.
