Big Willie Really? Thought he was good on the ball and great assist from him but was very shaky defensively. He gave away the corner that led to Luton's first goal cheaply and didn't close down Barkley on his goal. He didn't look his usual assured self at all.

Segway Agree with you but won't put it on him. People often make the same mistake to judge someone who just came back into the team harshly. It's not easy to get the momentum, chemistry and sharpness back immediately.

I remember last year people were being very critical in the sporadic matches Tomi started too. White will be back to his best with a run of games.

Not really baffling though, is it? Well expected at this point in time. It's more surprising when we get something from the ref/VAR rather than just get fucked like on the regular.

It's clear they don't have any accountability and they don't give a fuck either.

The worst thing is, I reckon referees often don't make tough decisions on the pitch because they think they'll just defer to VAR. So you end up in this situation where no one makes the decision.

I could actually live with VAR not interfering if they actually stuck to it consistently and didn't slow down games. But then you get ones like the City pen against Chelsea which was not only soft but probably the incorrect call altogether given that Haaland was fouling first.

Wow, just watched the match. Insane. Ref was a disaster, of course, but Inaki Cana is the real villain. Sack this guy immediately.

What the hell happened to ControlBall™?! All over the place. We were so open. Luton played like absolute lunatics, and we seemed to give them exactly the game they wanted. Seemed a collective loss of composure, coupled with a disastrous performance by Raya.

Kai was excellent. Kiwior struggled a bit, Odegaard, Martinelli, Saka, CBs, all quite good. White clearly not all there yet, whether it's fitness or just sharpness I dunno. Missed Tomi, for sure.

Rice with the big moment is great, but thought he was a little rocky throughout. Poor defending on that Raya flap for their second.

Jesus is obviously an excellent footballer, but that early dive annoyed me. Glad he scored. Was very poor defending that first corner.

PL is a hell of a league. Too bad about PGMOL.
