I get Jorginho starting over Partey, at this moment in time. But I mean, strange, he went with Vieira and Havertz all season, and now, in the hardest game of the season we changed it up, hope it works....
And on that right wing its really a shit show. He tried Vieira there, now Jesus (the best option if we are being fair) but never Nelson...I don't get it.

Saka not with the team, but even Southgate considered him to be fit and called him up to the english squad, strange, did something happen later this week? Hope he misses the call up and gets some rest.

It's most likely the same setup as we used against City in the community shield. Partey would have started in place of Jorginho if he was fit enough.

He’s hardly played - made one error. Jesus miss was equally as bad. Others made errors including Saka leading to their first goal but that is in the past.

Jorg is a big game player. Let’s see what he does today.

Yeah, not keen on the front three but Nelson (and to a lesser extent ESR) not trusted to start for whatever reason.

That being said, our biggest issue this season has been our midfield and I'm interested to see how Jorginho does in place of Havertz and how he/Rice/Ode operate together (surely cant be worse).

Havertz playing has always ensured Ode gets marked out of the game. Like that we are going 4231.

Pep has Lewis playing in midfield. Interesting.

Clrnc Honestly, 4231 was the only base approach that was making sense to me in the lead up to this game: Tomiyasu at left back, double pivot of Partey and Rice with Rice given freedom, Ødegaard as sole 10, Jesus and Trossard on the wings, and a close call between Havertz and Nketiah at centre forward. I remain a little unclear about what the decided approach was, and about a few other takeaways.
