Tbh more or less this is the same type of display and pattern we have been producing in Europe under Arteta. He hasn't cracked European football yet.

People were saying we were poor in Europa because we are intentionally trying to lose but nah.

It's hard to really gauge the level and the issues when we're without Saka and Martinelli. Need those two flanking Jesus to see if the problems run deeper.

This have been a tough watch though.

Haven't seen the game but this seems like the team has underperformed and Arteta still can't utilise his squad to try to keep the sharpness in the team and only seems to react fast to late. He's still not very good at managing the players he has and in game management still.

I anticipated slip-ups in the league this season through rotation. But we should be bringing our A game to the CL (and we're not rotating loads in the league anyways...).

first time we play a bit direct and we get something going for all artetas talk about trying to surprise opponents, we've been predictably pattern-based all season. if you want to surprise teams, play direct sometimes.

Ricky1985 it’s true we’ve suffered with injuries but this is the deepest Arsenal squad I’ve seen and my frustration is that we don’t seem to be utilising it

We've generally been a tough watch this season. Only difference I can see with the some of the games we've won this season is that Lens have taken 2 out of their 3 big chances in this game whilst others fluffed their lines enough for us to get over the line. Forest, Palace, Everton and United could have easily ended in draws if they were more clinical. We need big improvements going into the rest of the season.

Kel Varnsen the bloke thinks he's Pep. You can do the whole 'unpredictable' thing when you've consistently won major trophies with proven methods, not when you've reeled off a 50 point half season and still managed to stagger home in second place.

Saka and Martinelli are extremely good, and they give us the sort of speed and penetration no one else in the squad can (which is exactly what is missing in a performance like this).

I'm extremely annoyed at the rubbish display, and we haven't been right so far this season, but we're yet to see the front 3 from last season in action together, and it's worth bearing that in mind.

Don Pacifico Exactly what I was saying last year when people keep saying we can't beat a Sporting team absolutely ravaged by injuries because we missed 2 players.

All excuses. We should be good enough to win all these teams, we are the Arsenal. Let alone in all of these matches that we end up losing in Europe, most of the time we were actually in the lead.

weve been pretty poor all season and really hard to watch at times. teams have plenty of film on us now and how we want to play, and its up to arteta to figure out what plan B is
