Clrnc Trossard missed a great chance.
Seriously fuck off with that shit Jesus.
daredevil We look overawed by the occasion.
We honestly don't look that much different than we have all season. It's all too laboured all the time. Aside from PSV (which we were very good) and Bournemouth, every game has been tight until the final minutes.
Qwiss as has Nelson to a lesser extent.
Don Pacifico
We're finishing the game with Nketiah, Vieira, Nelson, Smith Rowe and Jesus. That's the kind of attack that will lead you to 8th spot.
daredevil The same kind of attack you end up with when you don’t manage the minutes and fitness of your star players properly.
Don Pacifico Total turdball...
daredevil you realize we're losing right?
Can't stand our football.
This is embarrassing.
Tbh more or less this is the same type of display and pattern we have been producing in Europe under Arteta. He hasn't cracked European football yet.
People were saying we were poor in Europa because we are intentionally trying to lose but nah.
Clrnc
We battered PSV, tbf.
It's hard to really gauge the level and the issues when we're without Saka and Martinelli. Need those two flanking Jesus to see if the problems run deeper.
This have been a tough watch though.
Think Nketiah should have come on way sooner, possibly for Jesus
KingslandBarge probably for Saka in hindsight. Jesus has been bullied on his own up top.
Haven't seen the game but this seems like the team has underperformed and Arteta still can't utilise his squad to try to keep the sharpness in the team and only seems to react fast to late. He's still not very good at managing the players he has and in game management still.
Ugh that was close. Finally somewhere forward passing.
Lens wasting time here, we shouldn't be biting.
well, there was our chance to tie it up... oh well
I anticipated slip-ups in the league this season through rotation. But we should be bringing our A game to the CL (and we're not rotating loads in the league anyways...).
first time we play a bit direct and we get something going for all artetas talk about trying to surprise opponents, we've been predictably pattern-based all season. if you want to surprise teams, play direct sometimes.
If we play like this against Sevilla we ain't getting out of this group
Ricky1985 it’s true we’ve suffered with injuries but this is the deepest Arsenal squad I’ve seen and my frustration is that we don’t seem to be utilising it
Ricky1985 we can't excuse this performance when we're without just two of our players. The squad is good enough to beat Lens.
Ricky1985 This have been a tough watch though.
We've generally been a tough watch this season. Only difference I can see with the some of the games we've won this season is that Lens have taken 2 out of their 3 big chances in this game whilst others fluffed their lines enough for us to get over the line. Forest, Palace, Everton and United could have easily ended in draws if they were more clinical. We need big improvements going into the rest of the season.
Arteta's comments about being more unpredictable this season seem like a joke.
Kel Varnsen Mr. Meticulous Obsessive doesn't have it in him.
Moyes over Wenger.
Kel Varnsen the bloke thinks he's Pep. You can do the whole 'unpredictable' thing when you've consistently won major trophies with proven methods, not when you've reeled off a 50 point half season and still managed to stagger home in second place.
