I think the issue with the striker market right now is that all of the young, proven talents (Mbappe, Osimhen, Haaland, Hojlund, Nunes) are either going to cost 100m plus easily or are already locked up.
The older, proven talents (Toney, Watkins) are either overpriced or there are significant questions around if they'd take us to the next level.
Then you have a whole raft of young, exciting striker prospects that seem to be a year or two away (Sesko, Ferguson, Zirkzee) where you will need to take a chance on them now or risk them moving into that 100m plus bracket in a year or two.
I think we need to take a chance on a prospect like Zirkzee or Sesko since Osimhen is likely the only proven talent we could get this summer and his price plus injury record would be a huge risk/opportunity cost with other needs this summer as well (explosive winger, CM, defensive cover).
