Big Willie I don’t know about not trusting players. We have the highest total minutes in the league for 3 of our players (Rice, Saliba and Gabriel), but when you look at our distribution of minutes for our top 10 and rest of the squad, we do the same as the rest of the the title contenders. Ie, we give 69-70% of all available minutes to 10 players and then the rest of the squad shares the remaining 30%. This is consistent amongst the big clubs, even City.
The only thing you can argue is that Arteta has given players under 21 about 0,2% of minutes versus 2% for rivals, but that’s less an Arteta issue and more a player availability issue. 2 and 3 years ago we had the highest concentration of under 21 minutes in the league, so it speaks more to a quality issue which Arseblog raised also raised yesterday.
