The result here sets the tone for our early season. Win and we have a solid start, lose or draw and we're already flailing.

My favourite is what Pepe LeFrits suggests above, a mix of last season's platform and where we could be headed. I don't see the merit in protecting Rice from playing at 6, he either can or can't.

I'll be morbidly curious if it's Partey selected at right back again. It would be risky instructing Partey and White to switch in transition with Rashford hanging around.

Havertz should start. It's either a great chance for him to win the crowd, or we need him to fail fast. With five subs Arteta can proactively substitute if he's dire.

Jesus off the bench. I don't want to rush him back and take risks, especially while Eddies form is so good. Think Eddie could get Martinez on a booking early too, or even win a penalty again.

Think that midfield would absolutely dominate Uniteds too. They've looked a mess and if we play a strong midfield I think we'll completely control the game. Don't fancy playing our recent system against a counter attacking team either as its where we've looked weakest and United have little else if you don't give them chances on the break.

Qwiss I like that set of starters, though personally would consider a different formation. Yet, the prospect of Havertz ripping up Man United and shutting up those fans would be such delight. He could just as well do that off the bench I suppose. Jesus, Trossard, Havertz, Vieira is a great set of attacking change options.

We looked extremely vulnerable on counters, and thats the only thing they know how to do. So they will score one...we have to score 3 at least. Hard game for us, no doubt the new formation is here to stay.

This is not a bad team but do we trust Vieria from the start or is he better coming off from the bench with a point to prove ala super sub?

I think Vieria is best as joker in the pack. Let him do the Fulham performance 2-3 times before he can start from the get go imo.

Yeah I'm not sure he is fully ready to start, especially against United.... but good to strike while his confidence is high.. Need to see if he can build on his previous performance. Really like how positive he is.

Probably my preffered team as well, only question whether to put Trossard in the middle and Martinelli back in but given Nketiah has scored in his last couple games it would be harsh to take him out.
