This game has taken a bit more importance given our shaky start/shit end to the transfer window.
If we lose/draw the narrative would be last season was a one off and the pressure would intensify on us/Arteta after the break. Expect more outbursts from our gaffer in press conferences as the heat magnifies which is my biggest worry this season.
Coupled with a shit end to the transfer window the atmosphere in the stadium could get more hostile. Expect more boos if players don’t perform and it will be reminiscent of the pre-Arteta days when Emirates was a bit toxic.
If we win, it changes the picture completely and gives us much needed momentum and quietens the noise drastically. We go into the Everton game on a high and can really build from there.
Problem we have, if we drop too many points too soon, and we are not seen as a genuine title contender to City, we will feel like shit as it dawns on us last year actually was our best ever chance and seasons like that don’t come around very often .
