What is actually going on? Saka, Odegaard Trossard and Havertz have been shocking.

Lukazan -- it's a wide array of issues, but to me it's:

Saka/Odegaard have their partnership interrupted by playing Partey at RB. Ben White had a great season and fantastic partnership with Saka, and that is clearly missing.

Havertz to me looks one part confused and one part lackadaisical. His role appears to be focused on off ball runs to complement Odegaard (as our creator) but he isn't playing with any conviction. Contrast him to what Ramsey offered, and you see how square of a peg he is.

Think we've played well offensively, Fulham have defended really aggressively but we've still created a few chances and on another day would have scored 2 or 3. Defensively we look like a bag of nerves though, so many errors. Not much controlball going on today

Shocking performance from the attacking side. Still, we should be able to score at least a goal, we have also had bad luck.

Formation does not make sense. This is so stupid when we have players on the bench who we know can deliver the patterns of play we want. We've moved our best RB to CB and our best DM to RB. Doesn't make any sense at all. It's stupid.

Coombs it really is not. We have the same problems both in attack and in defence that we had the moment the world cup was over. We still cannot defend at home, it's been years now. I was thinking thats why we kept buying defenders, to fix this shit

We've never really played a double pivot though. I don't see why we'd want to start doing that, other than because we still have Partey on the books

The supposed trade off weakening our defence for more control isn't worth it. We look a lot more vulnerable and not a lot more in control than last season.

I thought Rice and Partey were decent, other than that pretty awful all round. Havertz and Kiwior are passengers. Saka and Martinelli are just off. Trossard is buzzing around but has he even had one shot? He's the CF and is too far from goal most of the time.

If Jesus is fit I'd bring him on, if not then bring Eddie on. I'd also get Gabriel and Zinchenko on for Havertz and Kiwior.

Pepe LeFrits I meant as a CM pair actually. Rice can roam around, he has the legs and Partey can sit a bit deeper.

We look awful, a terrible mistake early on to set us back but after that the whole team look clueless and just not sharp. Has to be one of the worst performances from the team in a few years.
