I think its confidence. He was good last year, the 16 clean sheets proves that (along with a great defense). But he has more swagger this year. I don't feel all nervous when the balls comes near him this season. And its hard to argue conceding 1 goal in our first 5 games (and the only one we gave up was after Rice was sent off). All the while. making a few world class saves and generally being really secure. Maybe the time with Spain and winning the Euros (even though he was not their starter) has bumped up his confidence. Hopefully he keeps it going.

I feel like he was always excellent last season. He’s just had to deal with a rusty defense and have to be called on to do more of the last line of defense stuff right now. I don’t expect to see these heroics post October.

Claudius he was solid last season, we were talking about claiming crosses, distribution, etc He wasn't breaking out insane match saving saves week on week. He's been an absolute monster this season. If he keeps this form up he might win the Yashin trophy.

Our defence has been very good for the most part, it's not like he's just producing great saves from 25 shots a match like Onana or De Gea. He's pulling off great saves from the 1 or 2 chances that are given away which is what makes it so impressive. Unless you're conceding 0xg per game, you're going to have to make match winning saves throughout the season.

Nah, his first 10-15 games weren't good at all, I was defending him, but he wasn't convincing, he had a very good second part of the season though. This season he has been great.

Look at how shit Ederson was for our corners. Raya is a complete goalkeeper. Can do it all. Absolutely chuffed to have him. Long may his current form continue!

Sicario2 Yeah the attackers definitely need to step up. Our defenders have scored in our last 2 games.

With this little run coming up we are going to need them to start producing the goods.

I don't think any of us really understand how mentally and physically demanding the last week will have been for the players. To get through yesterday unbeaten in the way we did is one thing, to do it off the back of the NLD and then Atalanta away on Thursday night is incredible really. Hopefully the injuries yesterday were just minor and the players turn up with the same focus on Saturday as in this last week, the results - and the performances - will come.

100%.. This week has been extremely draining, especially given our injury absences. I am sure that all the injuries/cramps/knocks that we may have from the game yesterday are all minor. The next game is Bolton, and I think there will be heavy rotation. But this coming weekend is very important, and we need another good performance and i think we will get one.

RocktheCasbah and they did it without Odegaard. Their leader and a physical monster when it comes to pressing, stamina and keeping the rest of the team on it. It was a very mature week from the team. I hope they can keep the focus and we don't have any sort of hangover from it against Leicester. Sometimes the mundane fixture after these tricky runs is a real banana skin. Needs the fans in the Emirates to be well up for it.

Qwiss yeah. We can’t let them come down from that experience. Hopefully some competition for places amongst forwards and fullbacks helps motivate.

Sicario2 best jump and handling by a keeper currently. That's for sure.

A bit worrying that a GK is our best player....Defensively this season we have not been anywhere near as good.

But he has definitely moved up a level, last season I still thought we needed to find a long term replacement but this season he's at the kind of level we need.

I'd argue Saka has been out best player this season. Not taking anything away from Raya he's been excellent but Saka has carried us while Ode was out and looks like going up another level with him back. 12 goal involvements, thats him being involved in more than half our goals.
