Disagree with this part. He has already shown a few times this season that he can be a matchwinner (or maybe we should say a match-saver) A few of his saves have been incredible, and have kept the ball out on several occasions that would have turned the tide in a number of games.

This is what I love most about Arteta. It was a bold, ruthless but correct decision getting rid of Ramsdale when 90 percent of fans disagreed.

He is cut throat and we missed that from the latter Wenger years. He will have not forgotten some of Martinelli’s misses this season either, he will be next on the old chopping block come summer 2025.

Maybe - I still think he had growth potential in him but willing to admit the longer things go on, the less likely that becomes. Main thing is, we don't need to talk anymore about whether Raya should be #1.

Sicario2 I didn't feel that we should splash another 30m on a keeper, especially for someone like Raya that looked slightly above average with great kicking. How wrong am I 😭 This season his ability shown and proven is worth probably 60-70m.

Probably Arteta's top 3 signing.

That's only true if Raya had been available at a reasonable price when we signed Ramsdale and I think we now know that wasn't the case.

His footwork and passing yesterday was insane. It really helps with beating the press because you end up with another outfielder playing the ball around opposition strikers. Also a great variety of short, middle range and long passing. Only Ederson is in this league of passing

RocktheCasbah we should never be afraid of improving. We just bought Merino but if next summer Wirtz or Musiala becomes available, we should not hesitate to pull the trigger. Feel the same about Isak/Havertz, Kvara/Martinelli, etc.
