He won us the game, didn't he? Watched the game in a pub in Bristol and ended up chatting to a Spurs fan (howwwww?). He was quite shocked to hear me opine Raya is better than Ramsdale, but he clearly is.

Seriously though, he's done well so far this season. Hoping it's a sign of things to come.
He's the golden glove winner from last season as well. He is a huge part of what we do as a defensive unit and how we retain control and initiate attacks. We need to begin to put some respek on his name.
Being slow to recognize this is as bad as being slow to recognize that Saka is world class...
can imagine hes trying to have the game of his life every week given that he knows the manager gets tired of goalkeepers at an astonishingly quick pace
The saves were great but what sets Raya apart was something that he made look simple. There was a low cross right infront of goal that he jumped ahead and claimed, which would've otherwise been a likely goal. Onana faced the exact same kinda cross and just watched the ball go across him.
banduan this is his big under appreciated superpower. Claiming crosses and preventing chaos in the box. And then being able to turn this into offense. Really llle this guy. Always thought it was a massive upgrade
Claudius I seem to remember a recent interview where he attributed this change to the much-maligned Inaki Cana (during their common time at Brentford). Having said that, I have no idea whether or not his reputation is deserved.
He's got his confidence now. Really hope it continues throughout the season with 0 errors leading to goals. But we can't be relying on him to make worldies every game. Not sustainable and we will eventually pay.
Was a big decision to replace a fan favourite with this guy but it has paid off in absolute spades.

Just needs to iron out the decision making when the ball is played back to him , I understand he's looking for a pass but sometimes you just need to launch it. Proved me wrong otherwise. Solid keeper now
he was a solid keeper last season, he's a great keeper now.
