Don Pacifico nah he was very ropey today and very lucky with that call. Looks a bit nervous at the moment.

Tbh thought Don was just being sarcastic as I didn't think there was anythi g particularly noteworthy, at least noteworthily positive, from Raya today. He didn't have much to do bar the save from Solanke in the second half, maybe one more save I may be missing. He did sweep up well I think once or twice but what I was praising as his biggest strength (his aerial handling) was a bit shakey today. He punched at a lot of balls rather than claiming which is where their disallowed goal came from.

That said I do think it was a foul on him and the goal was rightfully ruled out as he was in effect guided away from his goal right up until the moment he jumped. Other refs might not have given it but it was absolutely the right call.

He was awful on that disallowed goal, really think it was Solanke looking at Raya and not the ball, rather than the extent of the contact itself, that led VAR to confirm the foul. I like Raya, and I think Arteta bought him because he lost trust in Ramsdale's mentality (likely stuff behind the scenes), rather than because he saw Raya as this incredible talent upgrade. But he hasn't solidified the #1 position yet.

I do trust that he will continue to improve though. He doesn't yet have that assurance and mad confidence you want from a keeper, and that's been exposed recently, but he has a good head on his shoulders.

Don was definitely being sarcastic 😆 .

We got away with one today really and even though I agree Raya is still ropey as our number 1, there aren't any special keepers in the market for us to say we need to upgrade Raya.

Yeah, sorry guys - I was being sarcastic. Like others, thought he was a bit flappy and lucky to get the disallowed goal. So with that backdrop, feels odd to praise him for clean sheets.

Arteta is very quick to praise our clean sheets, and when the Golden Glove was mentioned after Bournemouth, equally quick to credit the whole team. That's as it should be. Raya aside, our collective commitment to clean sheets this season has been so fresh.

Don Pacifico poor Claude he took you seriously and really thought Raya had a good game 😂

Good. If you want to feel good go to the strip club or opium den.

There was a saying back in the day: Arsene Knows.

We can now safely say : Arteta knows.

Raya improved as the season went on and will get even better next season imo.

Round is the one the United supporters and ex players said what just fucking stupid right? Should have been gone long time ago

No objections allowed! You are either with me or not with me

Clrnc obviously is a tweet with partial context so I don't really care but as a guiding principle I'm happy stamp out any dissenters in the playing squad but coaches should have much more leeway to challenge the manager privately.

The reasons were probably numerous, I doubt Arteta got rid of him for a small disagreement. Doesn't really matter anyway, we didn't miss him.

More in depth story. Basically Round didn't agree to allocate more resources to another GK instead of other positions

Clrnc there are no sources for any of this. Are we just supposed to take these people at their word? McNicholas needs to learn how to cite properly as well, even if it's an anonymous source.

Coombs His brother is Ramsdales agent. Reckon he has the inside track here and probably knew this for a while but publishing now because Ramsdales time with us is over.

Can't complain if Ramsdale's media connect leads to a better fee.

Qwiss right, but that's a deeply compromised source with a direct financial stake in framing things a certain way. People are already treating this story as gospel, when its anything but.
