About as well as Zubimendi plays 8. In fact the few times Zubi has played more advanced for us he's been electric. 🤷‍♂️

No need to make a big saga out of it mate, I'm trading in the orthodox fachts here. Again, I'm not saying Zubimendi is the better player but we definitely don't want him injured.

Thats why we need our strikers back, our wingers don't score enough, even if Trossard is in good form right now, over a full season, it's not enough. Jesus, Havertz and Goykeres need to be fit, we need every single goal we can get.

I don't think we have a clear and obvious best midfield. You could make an argument for any of the first choice 3.

Sicario2 no one can replace Saka. If we were going into a CL final and someone said you can have Madueke and Rice or Merino and Saka I'm picking the latter every time.

Rice 'can' play the 6, but he's clearly more effective as an 8. Technically, we have cover for both Zubi and Rice, even though the skill sets of the understudies are pretty different (Norgaard and Merino)

this is the exact 'unleashed' version i dreamed of when we signed declan rice. complete dominance of mutiple phases of the game. we all know he has 3 lungs, but he also massively underrated intelligence and feel for the game of football.

He's running circles around most of the players he faces. I do wonder if we need to start taking him off after 70 minutes. It'll be an easier decision when Merino is back on the bench.

I genuinely don't get the obsession with this. He's playing great, the teams playing great, the group love each other and the current captain. Who cares?

One of them even said it outright: 'He' the best midfielder in the world right now"

So this guy means to think he was somehow allowed into the Bayern dressing room after the game and they were just gushing about Rice out there. Or does he mean to make us believe he mic'd up the away dressing room and heard this through his many bugs around the Emirates?

They decided this in the summer, making him captain during the season does not make any difference at all. This will be reviewed again next summer and decided then.

Lol, the agenda of moving on the captaincy to Rice is so funny.

Odegaard is a good captain. Players respect him. Rice is a different kind of leader. As is Gabriel. They can all do their thing in the team. It doesn't make us any better if we strip Odegaard and promote Rice. Probably would have the contrary effect actually.

Just appreciate Rice being superb. No need to go any further than that.
