He's the perfect Xhaka replacement. It will be a tough ask to match the Swiss's G/A contribution but his athleticism combined with his positional play will transform our press. He's so quick and athletic that he was parallel with Odegaard and leading the press as twin 8's when City had the ball in their half, and when the press was broken and City reached our box, he was parallel with Partey and forming a double pivot. Very similar to Xhaka in his dual defensive and offensive contributions
It will be interesting to see how Havertz plays the role but I get the sense that Rice being the bigger purchase will retain his position with Havertz continuing on upfront, who will then be dropped once Jesus is back.
