awooga83 I think I can agree on the poor standards and inconsistent nature of officiating which creates a risk for any teams set up to try and win by tight margins but that is league wide and a reality for all. Wolves have probably suffered the most ridiculous set of decisions with consequences so it's incompetence rather then corruption in my view.
It seems like your definition of corruption is that some teams have paid the ref off to gain advantages, which is fair enough. I personally don't think that's happening either.
But do I think it's corruption if a ref, on purpose or not, makes different decisions because he likes a team, for example considering that most refs in England are from Manchester? Yes.
Do I think it's corruption if one referee backs another because they're mates and puts that above making the right call when it's a marginal decision? Yes.
Do I think it's corruption if a referee, on purpose or not, is afraid of making a call against Newcastle because he has easy money gigs in Saudi during midweeks where an unsaid implication might be that those gigs go away if the Newcastle owners don't like said referee? Yes.
