Doubt that's the case at all. You yourself have said that Nwaneri alone has more minutes than ESR and Nelson combined totals for the last 2 seasons, but even that's been enforced folllwing Saka's injury.
I (and I'm sure others) saw Saka's injury coming a long ago after he played almost every minute of every game year on year since 2021. Dead rubber games, League Cup games, even ones he was on the bench for he comes on when we are already a few goals up. And inevitably ends up limping his way to the final whistle after being kicked to shit and having no rest.
We just overplay whoever our first choice is no matter what, unless forced by injury/suspension. It's the same with why White broke down, with why Havertz broke down.
The only exceptions to this is where Arteta isn't quite sure who is the better player, as is the case between Martinelli and Trossard, and maybe the fullback positions now we have 3 really good ones for 2 spots.
