Arteta needs to stop Havertz diving so much, he needs to always play his size and focus on beating players and progressing the ball instead of trying to win free kicks. When he lets that more 'passive' energy come into his game it spreads to his chance conversion, he needs to be assertive at all times.

Still too hesitant in front of goal. Got into some good positions yesterday, but was a bit too indecisive/slow to finish.

Reckon he may quietly end up with 17-20 league goals. Will be tough because he’s not the type to score a hattrick or a brace against cannon fodder, but I do think he’ll consistently score goals.

goon agree. If he keeps playing regularly, the service he's getting alone should enable that. The brilliance of his goal yesterday is that I don't think we have any other attacker who does that. Fulfils Mikel 'Variety' Arteta's vision.

goon if he stays fit and doesn't get shunted back to midfield to cover some sort of crisis then I think he'll definitely score that much. He can easily score more too, that one yesterday where Martinelli found him free around 8 yards from goal and he managed to not even get it on target is an example of where he can improve a lot. I suspect at some point he'll have a spell where those ones start going in. I reckon he might even get himself on Emirates hat trick wall this season too.

Anyone have him in their fantasy premier league teams?

I was so close in picking him but was worried he would share mins with Jesus so wasn’t as nailed on. Might have to change my mind if he will constantly play 70/80 mins plus

Sicario2 - Tier 1 same. Was worried he'd cover midfield until Merino comes in. Had Wood instead though so can't complain too much.

I think my only worry or rather where I would like to see us add to the squad is his inconsistency he'll do really good things and then put a decent chance well wide. That's been pretty much in his game forever so I don't think it'll change but we still need that player who can score when we aren't able to create as much.

We also need someone who can score one goal from one chance. In the big, big games ie Bayern, City away we need this kind of player. Not sure Kai is that man but he can be a damn good flat track bully.

awooga83 Agree that he's inconsistent within a game but he's got 17 G+A in 15 games which is a very strong record.

Sicario2 - Tier 1 Flat track bully is fine - it's not like Haaland would be any better in those situations either.

All strikers do this. We just need to up our open play chance generation. Someone like Kane was able to get up to 4.5 shots a game at his peak. He was wasting basically close to 4.0 of those shots.

Good sign he still scored and assisted on what looked like an average outing in a couple of moments.

Underrated Havertz traits versus alternatives: he's massive, he routinely aggravates the opposition, he picks his runs with great intelligence, he presses, and he's usually well able to be active for ninety minutes.

I predict he'll get past 20 goals in the league.

Havertz should have buried that second chance man. That’s the difference between him and a WC striker. Needs to be far more clinical if he’s going to be our out and out number 9
