I still want to believe in Havertz given his recent form … it wasn't a match for him, but he did a number of good things, including playing a couple of clever balls that could've been assists on another day.
Havertz is developing into a bit of a Giroud-like option with a better all round game on the ball, but less aggression.
Similar problem to the one we have with Jesus: hard to improve on Havertz's end product without losing out in other aspects of his role.
At this point it's hard to imagine Arteta and Edu targeting a Haaland-like player who operates as a luxury player and gets ten touches a match.
Defensive-minded forwards is looking like a hill Arteta will die on, as with Wenger endlessly signing technical midgets because his price point could never afford both technique and physicality after his magical Clairefontaine contacts from the early years dried up.
