Claudius that’s an issue for next season. Arteta doesn’t have the time to wait on hope this year, he needs to get his finger out and make what he has at his disposal work. kai isn't good enough at his best. what made anyone think he would provide more when he's at this mid level? oh and this isn't bad kai, this is mid kai. he was signed to be an 8 because he's too damn shitty as a striker, but that big brain move failed (and is still failing) because he's an even shittier midfielder and then it became oh he's a striker again. nah you're not gaslighting me, he was suppose to be the left 8. i know what a shit striker looks like and he is one. arteta knows what they look like too because he's attracted to them.

I think his overall performance was quite good but a striker at this level should have buried those 2 chances in the 2nd half. The misses were criminal

We need to overhaul our attack, need to bring in at least 2 top class forwards going into next season

So obvious he wasn’t going to score that chance Odegaard laid off for him. Even worse was not hitting the net on that header after a beautiful cross.

But even worse than all of that is being outmuscled by Bernardo and losing a footrace vs him.

Havertz being outpaced by Silva and Gyokeres being out jumped by him sums up the two.

We looked way better up top than anything we’ve seen from Gyokeres in recent months. It still wasn’t good enough.

He was good overall but two very weak moments against Silva and some other defender when he could have been through on goal if he showed some more strength instead of falling over.

Those two misses were criminal btw. Will they cost us like the Trossard vs Villa in 2024 miss? I really hope not, but hard to be too optimistic at the moment.

Was good today. Yes he should have buried that header but it was a definite upgrade on what we’ve been seeing from any of our centre forwards recently

daredevil — we looked “better” up top because Man City plays upfield and leaves space behind. There’s nothing about us looking better up top that’s correlated with Havertz.

We didn’t have a chance in the first after Havertz’s goal.

In the second we had:

one 4v2 because Martinelli won the ball back upfield and we pounced - only for Havertz to miss a grade A scoring chance.
a period of intriguing play when Odegaard got involved
Eze’s shot
Havertz’s embarrassing lost run/duel with Bernardo after a long ball
Havertz’s missed header

Name me more than one moment of impact (good pass, turn, shot, anything!) from Havertz

Think the criticism of Havertz today was OTT. Did a lot of things right today. Despite his miss, I just don't think he was the problem today (or this season).

Today he missed 2 highly presentable chances, for a forward whatever else the fuck you do, stick it into the net when it matter, 1 presentable chance missed is possibly forgivable, 2 is not
