Kai Havertz

Sicario2

Don Pacifico he’s fucking shit and it’s the third fucking season in a row he’s cost us

Don Pacifico

Sicario2 nope.

Sicario2

Don Pacifico Keep living in fantasy land.

Anyway there is always next season right?

Qwiss

He is what most of this team is, a hard working player who'll put in a shift, win a lot of duels but ultimately just lacks any real class when needed. He's an alright player, he's not really a striker, not really a midfielder. He'd be an ok squad player if he was able to stay fit and didn't cost £300k a week. Under no circumstances should his deal be renewed.

Gunner89

Qwiss exactly

he's not bad but 300k a week because arteta thought he saw a xhaka regen and then decided nah but still chose to put him back in the midfield for the league cup final....because why not he's already put kepa in goal...then do it again and lose....then do it again and lose

in between a easy chances missed in the cup final and 2 today

but he works hard and wins a few headers...that's worth a top 5-10 wage in the PL

Don Pacifico

Sicario2 nope.

Gunner89 I never said he was clinical. I said he wasn't the problem.

Qwiss

MistaT you forgot the dive when he was clean through.

awooga83

Qwiss that stuff frustrates me more then anything that's really awful mentality you've got to be doing everything to get the shot or goal.

MistaT

Qwiss — complete dive by him, and pandering after.

Says everything about his (our) current state if that’s what he’s playing for.

Gunner89

Don Pacifico please stop this nonsense, he's never been clinical and he never will be

Today he missed 2 highly presentable chances, for a forward whatever else the fuck you do, stick it into the net when it matter, 1 presentable chance missed is possibly forgivable, 2 is not

Sicario2

Gunner89 you can’t reason with old blind faith DP.

Kai is a fucking loser. Doenst have the minerals to play for this club. Needs to go in the summer alongside his bf Odegaard.

lorddulaarsenal

Sicario2 don’t think that’s fair on Kai. He scored the winner against City in the Champions League final

Rohit

I am not sure I even really appreciated what we got from Havertz today. He drops deep and fights for the ball but his link up play still leaves a lot to be desired. His involvement in the game just encourages fans but don't think that's enough. It's hard to judge the individuals in our system though. We aren't an exciting side going forward. I reckon a lot of our players, especially the likes of Odegaard and Saka fare very differently under a manager that is motivated by good attacking play. When Odegaard first came here I used to think a player like him at number 10 under Wenger would be world class.

Gunner89

If he is missing his chances time and time again he is part of the problem, maybe you expect something else, if so i disagree, for me a striker should score when needed, he doesn't imo

Don Pacifico

I think we need a better CF but I also think he forms part of a functioning attack (certainly better than the alternatives at our disposal). He's not perfect but we've got bigger problems in attack.

Bring Back Kerrea Gilbert

He's fucking shit. As is Gyokeres.

The mess our attack is in is utterly astounding to me.

Burnwinter

I'm a Kai supporter but let's not kid ourselves it's not a crying shame longer term to have him absent injured for half of two seasons, and in this moment for him to have failed to grab us that one extra goal the lack of which is now quite likely to decide the title. I support him but it's on him among others to drag us to glory now.

Gazza M

as much as he made me tear my hair out today, id still pick kai to start the remainder of games. he brings a net positive effect in triggering the team to play on the front foot. we still desperately need to fix this striker situation. I fear we may have burned the peak years of this project by being hamstrung at 9.

HomeSteak

One the worst things to have happened to this football club. Not his fault and all that, but had we gotten it right that summer, had we got that striker we needed, and still need, we would have a couple premier league titles. Fitting that he is the one that took the project down, as Arteta, for some rrason, loves him so much

Tam

The biggest argument for playing Havertz up top is that he isn't being played in midfield.
