Tam Sounds reasonable. I don't have any statistics about gaussian distribution of goals scored for league winners (it would be interesting to know if someone had taken the time to compile any), but it seems like a healthy breakdown for a good team.

Klaus it will probably shift over time. If you go back 20 years we definitely had a bunch of games where we could just easily run through teams like Wolves or Leeds and score 4 or 5. Nowadays, it’s really hard to consistently score 3 or 4 against the bottom 5. So you should end up with a narrowing distribution

Yes we’ve scored more than 3 goals often but those are games we are cruising in, stat padding. Which is why that stat that we’ve scored the most is also deceiving.

Not that it’s a bad thing, it just means it may on paper seem like our offensive game is good until you take a deeper dive.

Kai was really, really poor today. Abject performance. He and Noni should have been subbed at halftime, because it sends the right message as much as anything. Not sure why they started at all. Kai should be the finishing striker for the run-in. It's obvious.

But why are we playing 442 against Bournemouth at home? Why aren't we pressing high up the pitch? Why are we outnumbered in every third? Conservative, bizarre, and not even conceptually effective.

Handbrake is well and truly on. Players are mentally exhausted, second to every ball, on their heels, not sure what the plan is. Passing around at the back, then launching aimlessly forward and unable to keep the ball in the final third with rushed passes and failed take-ons. Arteta has fucked it.

Hope he gets back to his best. It’s a bit like Odegaard. These aren’t unproven players. We’ve seen them consistently be the best player on our team for long stretches. So it’s not wildly imaginative to think they could play a significant role. We just need to believe they can both find health so they can get the regular minutes to build strength and relationships

I've never seen that from Havertz. I've seen him have spells of good form but they are too few and far between. 3 seasons at the club and he has 33 goals. Its not enough to renew his contract on his massive wages.

Claudius that’s an issue for next season. Arteta doesn’t have the time to wait on hope this year, he needs to get his finger out and make what he has at his disposal work. Whether that’s tweaking his approach, playing with the shape and structure. Whatever it is. We are devoid of confidence and creativity and we don’t have the time or games left to wait on others getting up to speed.

Qwiss Havertz was arguably the best player on the team over that lat 5 months of our best Arteta season.

Claudius I mean you could argue it but I'd stongly disagree. I'd say it was easily Saka and that Trossard and Ode probably better too from the attacking players, Rice was great the time too and obviously Raya and the defence were racking up clean sheet after clean sheet. That was good form from Havertz no doubt but the team was buzzing all round.

He has always been average at best when not playing as a CF, don't see that changing... Eze is back now so he can play/rotate upfront

Doc he's definitely a poorer player in midfield. Arteta needs to give up on it.

He's a half decent striker but he's a below average finisher at the best of times

He's a useful backup player but unfortunately cost far too much money for someone who is not good enough to start in any position.
