All I can say is Ange is a good manager. Proven time and time again. 0 adaptation period needed to get them playing his brand of football straight away, which is a huge change from Mourinho and Conte.

Not to mention their whole squad went through a huge upheaval. They will finish top 4, but won't be title challengers imo.

Arteta is very good at identifying talent, and a decent tactician. I just think he's too fixated on "positionalism" and structure on the pitch, and it makes us at times very predictable.

Meatwad no he's not. We do alright with our transfers now but we pay through the nose for known quantities. We very much look like a club who sacked all their scouts 3 years ago.

What Arteta has done well is to build a top quality squad. He shifted the garbage by taking an incredibly hard line with under-performers. He took a hard line with the players themselves and also with upper management by essentially forcing them into action. The management team backed him because they bought fully into his vision and that has helped accelerate our progress tremendously. Had we had a weaker personality who was willing to compromise a little bit more in charge instead, we would probably still have the likes of Pepe, Guendouzi, Bellerin, Auba etc. floating around.

That's what he has done - he's given us an incredible base and unfortunately that has bought him a ton of goodwill meaning he will only be shown the door if shit thoroughly hits the fan. I'm not advocating for him to go btw, am just saying that third/fourth in the league and no trophies this season will probably not be enough for us to go a different way.

We've just to hope he gets us into gear sooner rather than later because the league is hyper competitive and I fucking want to win something big (CL, PL) this season.

Postecoglou was always going to make a positive impact at Spurs. They already had a squad with good top four potential, they'd just been sabotaged by that histrionic egotist Conte last season, who'd chosen to decimate their morale in order to forgive his own deficiencies.

Postecoglou is a guy who's won league titles on three continents, across cultures and quality levels, a humane guy with excellent motivational skills, and for now his players are responding to that positivity very strongly. But the good news is that he's taken over at Spurs, not United, as you can see he'd be the guy to finally lift the Mancs back up. At Spurs, limited resources will eventually hold him back.

Nah don't agree with that, especially losing Kane, having Richarlison up top and an ageing squad. He manage to mitigate all their weakness quickly and spent really well on inexpensive no name signings

They were sitting in a decent, if difficult position to secure a top four spot when Conte had his final dummy spit and quit. Kane is a big loss but as we've seen, his departure has also liberated the rest of their attack. It's not the first time that's happened in similar circumstances.

To be fair I think Spurs have been somewhat lucky overall with their results to date this season, but the underlying potential was there—they were top four season before last, after all. Postecoglou is just encouraging them to play football, which must be a relief after getting relentlessly bollocksed by that big-haired Italian fraud for a season and a half.

I still don't think Spurs are all that. We'll see how they cope once they hit a tough run of fixtures and their confidence drops. They're just doing a good job of riding the new manager bounce at the moment.
