goon he made 5 subs on md1.
When the game is finely poised, Guardiola is always very careful with his subs. It's obvious why when you consider that so much of what he wants his team to do is about cohesion and rhythm.
Ricky1985 Don't agree with that at all. We have seen many times that when things are level or that he sees something wrong, he switches things around very quickly and make impactful subs. Like the match against us at the Emirates when he introduced 2 subs, changed shape and won the game while we didn't react
Clrnc When he's winning and it's tight, or even if it's level and closely balanced and getting to final third of the game, he often seems reluctant to make subs, I think because it interrupts rhythm and cohesion, but if he needs to alter the way the games going then changing the rhythm is exactly what he wants to do.
goon Signs were there last season, they staggered into the top four and ten Hag's aura was fading. New season with a ton of ongoing off field pressure and drama, and still caught somewhere between hanging on and rebuilding, I'm not clear why people have them as certainties to get top four.
Burnwinter always thought Ronaldo leaving gave them a new manager bounce effect. Getting that negative energy out of the dressing room was always gonna be big. ETH brand of football doesn't impress me though. Rashford carried them and ETH doesn't even have the sense to keep him in his best position. Get the feeling their season will depend entirely on how Hoijland settles and develops.
goon I like watching Alvarez play too. He’s got such a range to his finishing and if Haaland wasn’t around he’d be recognised as the best striker in the league.
Bring Back Kerrea Gilbert That's basically what we try to do as well.
flobaba we're far sexier.
Qwiss
I reckon they have a lot of players who’ll check out if things start to go sour. Rashford and Bruno in particular have shown it in the past, but you also wonder about the likes of Casemiro and Varane who are on huge contracts.
They needed a big summer of recruitment to take the next step but they’ve fluffed it.
My word, that attempt by Diaby and then the save.
Great game so far
goon Casmeiro has been terrible so far and quite predictably Onana has been overrated based on a few CL games. Mounts a solid player but he won't raise their level. There's zero plan at United when it comes to squad building.
Wish we had Diaby. Villa looking good, well done Unai.
Hopefully it's third time unlucky for Everton. I want them to piss off to the Championship where they belong.
Bring Back Kerrea Gilbert it's everton. newcastle violated villa last week.
True, but I think they're doing good things.
Chelsea equalize. I must say that Enzo has been excellent in both games so far, as has Nicolas Jackson. Defense is still terrible though, thankfully.
Paqueta trying to make as much bank as he can before he’s suspended by the looks of it.
Jackson looks very good, a real handful.
What’s with the atmosphere at West Ham? Like a pre-season friendly.
Not sure about Jackson, looks a bit clumsy with his touches and finishing not great. Reminds of a young Adebayor.
Ward-Prowes looks absolutely terrible. Basically just standing in the middle of the park waiting for a corner or free kick.
KingslandBarge it was a stupid foul. Sterling's been very good. Jackson is disruptive but yet to see any class from him. Interesting to see if he's got more in him.
goon if it wasn't for the set pieces JWP would be in the championship.
Sterling looking good.
