Probably the one thing we lack in attack is height, and he's 190cm, or near enough to 6'3". He's experienced in the Prem and CL, but not prolific. If we get him we'll be hoping Arteta can improve him considerably.

I think folks have forgotten how much talent this kid has. He hasn’t shown it in England for various reasons - settling into new country, Chelsea debacle, but the technique is impeccable, and his versatility is remarkable. Baller. Would be excellent if we could pull this off. I’d prefer RiceKai to Raicedo, but if we can somehow pull off all three??? Hear that? that’s the sound of my zipper getting undone.

Probably would mean Smith Rowe is a goner, but it is what it is - there are levels to this. The German is top class. And we are ready to compete right now.

sounds like the Barella -Newcastle rumours are either extremely early, or outright bullshit. if there's a whiff of him being on the market I'd make it a priority to get him

flobaba Absolutely. Havertz is pretty unique, probably like T Muller he's a space finder so if you can find his position he will be an absolute gem. I have seen him do some Absolutely ridiculous stuffs on the pitch and he's only 24. I'm all for this.

Caicedo and Rice can provide the necessary defensive steel leaving our front 5 out there strutting their stuffs. Caicedo as a RB can do what Stones did for City.

Was top of my wishlist before Chelsea. This is a rescue job, not dumpster diving. I'm very, very intrigued.

Haven't really watched him at all, but the video from that Dortmund game revealed nothing other than a near perfect first touch, which he uses to set himself up well for the next move. I guess he will have to play as a wide forward, but he doesn't seem near productive enough for that, so am struggling to see the role he will play in our system. I suspect that Odegaard and Havertz behind our front 3 is perhaps too attacking. If he can genuinely spell Saka and allow Saka / Martinelli to be rotated without serious loss of productivity and also step in for Jesus if required once in a while, that may be worth the 60-70M price being bandied around. To use Claude's (I think) terminology, this will lift the floor rather than the ceiling, which is perhaps what we going after in the frontline. For those who have watched both (I have watched neither), is Gabri Veiga a potentially cheaper option to achieve the same result?

This guy gives me Ozil vibes. Supremely talented but lacks intensity and you need a bit of that in this league. Not wanting to sound like Roy Keane but the boy is soft.

Mirrors comments from several of you above. The last line is the antithesis of Ozil. The report also has him at 193cm or near enough to 6"4" - whatever, he's tall.

goon People here (incl myself) weren't exactly on board with Jesus & Zinchenko last season. They ended up being a big part of the reason we ended up leading the title race for most of the season rather than scrapping for a top 4 place.

Havertz was one of the hottest prospects in World football a few years back. Like I said earlier there is a reason why the likes of R.Madrid & Bayern are keeping an eye on him.

Pepe LeFrits Social media would have had meltdowns about us signing him and Henry if it existing back in the day!
