This will be a classic Arsenal implosion. 4-0 City, 1-2 injuries for us, either an own goal or a pass from a defender/Ramsdale straight to Haaland for one of the goals and a red card. After this, we will start picking up points again

Looking forward this. I think we were all hoping this would be a game we could afford to lose and still have a comfortable fusion. But it’s a proper title fight game that could rescue the season.

As gunnerblog said if you want to claim to be the best team in England then you can’t be losing to the current holders of that title 3 times out of 3.

We outplayed them with a mixed team in the FA Cup for the first half, even with Holding, and the second half was even too. We also outplayed them in the first half at the Emirates. We’re capable, we just need it all to click.

The game is close for a while. Then, at some point City scores two quick goals. Ødegaard does his little "calm down"-hand gestures. The team starts playing some shit and overly cautious football, inviting pressure. City dominates completely. Scores another goal. Game over. Not much happens for a while. Last ten mins we score once, and City twice.

Kel Varnsen This is the bleakest Arsenal fanfic I've ever read. To top it you'd have to write something about Adams taking his own life due to the failures of his managerial career and his returning issues with substance abuse.

No idea how this will go, we should be the rank underdogs but we still have everything it takes to hurt them.

If we bring Saliba back he better be ready for it.

It would be nice if the pressure was somehow off us and on them, but our two games in hand on them mean that's impossible and it'll be evenly poised.

If we play our own game with confidence, then of course we can beat them. On our day we are among the best 4-5 sides in Europe. I just think confidence is shattered, and too many players react negatively to pressure.

Burnwinter It's not that unrealistic, they beat us 3-1 at home back when they were supposedly shit and we were great. Now our confidence is shot and they are flying. It will be a miracle if we get anything here.

Managed to get a ticket for this. Still remains our biggest fixture since the Champions League final despite all the doom and gloom.

I'm concerned for us given our recent defensive problems and inability to control games vs Southampton and West Ham. Can see it getting out of hand in truth, but I was as equally concerned going into FA Cup finals against Chelsea, and semi-finals against Man City just a couple of seasons ago though.

We've shown plenty of positives against City in our last few outings, but it's going to have to be sustained perfection this time around. Behind the lads until the end.
