Teams are typically unable to score 2 goals in a half, which is the mountain we had given Liverpool to climb.
But I would not expect that second half performance from anyone in the league except Liverpool or City against a relatively full strength Arsenal. Klopp had rested his players and they went really hard.
I’m still not sold on Xhaka as villain. This isn’t like last season when Arteta went crazy on the sidelines and the crowd reacted. Man just stood up for himself. He didn’t raise his hands or anything after being kicked multiple times by Konate and accosted by Trent.
After that, we should have employed even more shit housery to slow down the game and remove momentum, the way Newcastle did against us. We did a bit but not enough given how loud those fans were. I’m jealous of @Clrnc for experiencing that atmosphere.
