Fun day with @James and my cousin James at the Carpet yesterday. One of the bonuses about being behind the Clock End goal all year is you get used to certain things. You get used to the sight and sounds of the Ashburton Army and you get used to the sight, in the first half, of Bukayo Saka and Ben White charging up the pitch towards you.
We really missed Saka's ability to drive at, and beat, his man yesterday and so the first half was a struggle. Obviously, the first goal opened the game up and then that blistering start to the second half killed it before Leeds knew what was happening.
Great news for us that Jesus is back amongst the goals just in time for Liverpool, the second one he scored was a thing of beauty (Trossard is some player eh?) and that cross from Ødegaard for Xhaka was just... Chef's kiss
One down, nine to go.
Also, gorgeous cross from Martinelli for Ben White to smash in off the bar, nearly missed it, but didn't he time his run well?
